What would you like help with?

Start with the main rhinoplasty guide. It explains cosmetic and functional assessment. For a broad nose, crooked nose, hump, bridge or breathing concern, use the specific links in the nose library below. Open Rhinoplasty in Nagpur →
Choose by concern

A face is assessed as a whole, but treatment must remain specific.

The most visible feature is not always the only feature influencing balance. A prominent nose may appear more dominant when the chin is retruded. Upper-eyelid heaviness may partly come from a low brow. A hollow under-eye and a true eye bag need different approaches.

This hub does not assume that every concern needs surgery. It separates structural surgery, soft-tissue lifting, volume adjustment, scar care and selected non-surgical options so you can read the correct page and understand the limitations.

Final suitability depends on examination, medical history, anatomy, expectations, recovery availability and procedure-specific risk discussion with Dr. Pawan Shahane.

1

Name the concern

Describe what troubles you in ordinary language before choosing a treatment name.

2

Identify the anatomy

Skin, muscle, fat, cartilage, bone and scars require different solutions.

3

Compare suitable options

Understand what each option can improve, what it cannot, and its recovery.

4

Plan conservatively

The objective is proportion and function—not an identical template for every face.

Clinical perspective

Facial planning should solve the right anatomical problem.

“The aim is not to chase a feature in isolation. We first identify whether the concern arises from bone, cartilage, fat, skin, muscle, scar or the relationship between features—then discuss the least excessive option that can realistically help.”

Questions patients often ask

Face and nose surgery FAQs

Open a question for a concise orientation, then use the linked procedure pages for detailed information.

Which face or nose procedure should I consider first?
Begin with the concern rather than a procedure name. Nose shape or breathing concerns usually start with the rhinoplasty page; eyelid heaviness with blepharoplasty; facial sagging with facelift assessment; and profile imbalance with chin or jawline evaluation.
Can one consultation cover more than one facial concern?
Yes. A facial assessment can consider the nose, chin, eyelids, brow, cheeks, jawline, skin quality and scars together before deciding whether any single or combined approach is appropriate.
What is the difference between rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty focuses on nasal shape and proportion. Septorhinoplasty combines external reshaping with correction of the internal septum when breathing or structural support also needs attention.
Should I start with blepharoplasty or an under-eye treatment page?
Blepharoplasty is the more relevant starting page for excess eyelid skin or prominent eye bags. Under-eye dark-circle treatment is a better start when pigmentation, shadowing, hollowness or skin quality is the main concern.
How do I choose between a brow lift and blepharoplasty?
A low brow and excess upper-eyelid skin can look similar. Examination is needed to identify whether the brow, eyelid, or both are contributing before treatment is selected.
What is the difference between a facelift and a non-surgical facelift?
A surgical facelift repositions deeper facial tissues and addresses significant laxity. Non-surgical approaches may improve selected early changes or skin quality but cannot reproduce the tissue repositioning of surgery.
Can chin treatment improve the appearance of the nose?
Chin projection changes the visual balance of the profile, so a small or retruded chin can make the nose appear more prominent. Nose and chin planning may therefore be assessed together.
Which page should I read for a broad or crooked nose?
Use the wide-nose rhinoplasty page for concerns about nasal width or base, and the crooked-nose correction page for visible deviation, asymmetry or a possible breathing component.
Are cheek-fat removal and facial fat transfer opposites?
They address different patterns. Cheek-fat removal reduces selected fullness, while facial fat transfer restores volume in selected hollow areas. Neither is suitable for every face, and overcorrection should be avoided.
Can facial scar revision remove a scar completely?
No procedure can erase a scar completely. Revision aims to make a suitable scar less conspicuous by improving its direction, width, contour or surrounding tissue relationship.
Can several facial procedures be performed together?
Sometimes, but only when the combination is medically appropriate and the added operating time, recovery and risk remain acceptable. Staged treatment may be safer or more predictable in other situations.
What happens at a face and nose surgery consultation?
The consultation reviews the concern, medical history, photographs, facial proportions, skin and soft tissues, airway when relevant, realistic limitations, alternatives, recovery and procedure-specific risks.
